Need for Steps is provided by Dzmitry Bukuyazau, Poland ("Developer"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use the App.

2. Services

The App provides step-based app locking functionality. You can configure step goals, and selected apps will remain locked until you reach your daily step target as measured by Apple HealthKit. Full functionality requires an active subscription or trial period.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

• Subscriptions (weekly or yearly) unlock full access to all app features.
• New users receive a 3-day free trial before being charged.
• Payments are processed by Apple via in-app purchase; billing disputes are handled through Apple.

4. User Responsibilities

• Grant HealthKit read access for step count data as required for the App to function.
• Understand that app locking relies on iOS Screen Time API and may have system limitations.
• Do not attempt to circumvent or manipulate step data.

5. HealthKit Usage

The App reads step count data from Apple HealthKit solely to determine app unlock status. This data is processed on-device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

6. Analytics & Third-Party Processors

We use PostHog, Google Firebase, and RevenueCat to operate the App (see Privacy Policy). HealthKit data is never shared with these processors.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and all related IP are owned by the Developer. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of data arising from your use of the App. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. The App relies on iOS system features that may have limitations or be affected by iOS updates.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. App locking functionality depends on iOS Screen Time API and Apple HealthKit availability.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Warsaw, Poland. You agree to attempt informal negotiation via [email protected] for at least 30 days before filing a claim.

11. Modifications

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect 14 days after in-App and website notice. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
