Need for Steps reads your step count from Apple Health. You set a daily step goal and choose which apps to lock. Those apps stay locked until you reach your step goal for the day.
The app reads your step count from Apple HealthKit to determine whether you've reached your daily step goal. Without this permission, the app cannot track your progress. Your health data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Need for Steps uses the iOS Screen Time API (Family Controls) to lock and unlock your selected apps. This permission is required for the core locking functionality to work.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.
Your app configuration data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all local data. For analytics data deletion requests, contact us at [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for details.
After an iOS update, Screen Time permissions may need to be re-granted. Try removing and re-adding your locked apps in the app. If the problem continues, please contact us with your iOS version and a description of the issue.
